Glendos ("we," "us," or "our") is operated by Kubay Studio LLC. This policy explains what information the Glendos mobile application collects, why we collect it, and how it is handled. By using Glendos, you agree to the practices described here.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and password. Depending on your account type, you may also provide a display name, business or studio name, city and country, username, phone number, website address, and social media links. Photographer profiles are publicly visible within the app.
Location information. Glendos is a location-based app. With your permission, we collect your device's location while the app is open and in use in order to show you photo locations near you, to populate the map and feed, and to attach a location to pins you create. Location data is collected only while the app is in the foreground. We do not track your location in the background, and we do not collect location history when the app is closed.
Photos and content. We collect the photos you upload, along with any captions, titles, location coordinates, and other details you attach to them. Photos you publish are visible to other Glendos users.
Usage information. We collect basic information about how you use the app, such as photos you like, pins you save, and accounts you follow, in order to operate the app's features.
Device information. We may collect standard technical information such as device type, operating system version, and app version for diagnostics and crash reporting.
HOW WE USE INFORMATION
We use the information we collect to create and maintain your account, to show you nearby photo locations and relevant content, to display your public profile and published photos to other users, to send notifications you have enabled, to moderate uploaded content, and to diagnose technical problems.
CONTENT MODERATION
Photos uploaded to Glendos are automatically screened using Google's Gemini service to detect explicit or prohibited content. This means uploaded images are transmitted to Google for analysis. Users may also report content, which we review manually. Content that violates our guidelines may be hidden automatically or removed following review, and the photographer is notified within the app when their photo is hidden.
THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Glendos uses Google Firebase for authentication, database storage, file storage, and push notifications, and Google Gemini for content moderation. These services process data on our behalf and are subject to Google's own privacy practices. We use Apple MapKit to display maps.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information with advertisers or data brokers.
DATA RETENTION
We retain your account information and uploaded content for as long as your account is active. If you delete a photo or a pin, it is permanently removed from the app and cannot be recovered.
ACCOUNT DELETION
You can delete your Glendos account at any time from Settings within the app.
When you delete your account, your profile, your pins, and your photos are immediately removed from public view. Other users can no longer see your locations, your photos, or your profile anywhere in the app, and any bookmarks or mood board entries other users saved that point to your content stop working right away.
For 30 days after deletion, we retain a private copy of your account data — your profile, pins, photos, saved locations, and mood boards — so that you can restore your account if you change your mind. This data is not visible to anyone else during this period. To restore your account, sign back in with the same credentials within 30 days, and your content is returned to public view.
After 30 days, all of your data is permanently and irreversibly deleted from our systems, including your profile, all pins, all photos and thumbnails in storage, your mood boards, your saved locations, and your authentication record. This deletion cannot be undone and we cannot recover your content afterward.
If you would like your data deleted immediately rather than after the 30-day recovery period, contact us at support@glendos.com and we will process your request.
YOUR CHOICES
You can turn off location access for Glendos at any time in your device settings, though this will limit the app's core functionality. You can turn off push notifications in your device settings. You can edit your profile information within the app. You can delete your account and associated data from Settings within the app, or contact us at the address below with any request regarding your data.
CHILDREN
Glendos is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
SECURITY
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted transmission and secure authentication through Firebase. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of Glendos after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
